Cut Chemist Digs Colombia, Releases Free Remix Album

By 26 June, 2017

Renowned crate digger and turntable meister Cut Chemist, along with the Beats of All-Nations crew, took a trip to Colombia last year, enjoying the fineries of Petronio Alvarez festival as well Cali’s fine assortment of vinyl markets and record shops. And it is no surprise that the vinyl they picked up has provided inspiration for a new release, as this is the standard reaction to Colombian music.

Approximately one year after their trip Cut Chemist and Beats of All-Nations have announced Going Back to Cali: Cut Chemist’s Colombian Crates Remixed, a free-to-download album of classic Colombian music – by the likes of Los Corraleros de Majagual, Los Teen Agers, Julio y su Combo – that has been remixed by a trusted selection of global producers with Cut Chemist interjecting his own vinyl-based musings on the trip. Amongst those in the remix seat are Co. Fee, El Dusty, Atropolis, Los Chico Altos, Bosq and Yukicito.

You can download Going Back to Cali from Bandcamp.
